As we come upon Independence Day, many of us are pulling out old recipes to bring to a gathering or picnic. If you’re coming up short, rest assured we have just the thing! This recipe can be made right from your RV kitchen. Let us introduce an RV recipe: Patriotic Pie!
1 Oreo cookie crust (premade)
1 Jell-O Instant Pudding (white chocolate or red velvet)
2 cups of milk
1 cup of strawberries
1/2 cup of blueberries
Blue and white sprinkles
1 can of Reddi Wip
Once the crust is set in a dish, begin mixing the pudding mix and milk in a bowl. Stir by hand or with a mixer for about 2 minutes and 15 seconds. Once the good stuff is thick enough, pour it into the waiting crust. Place the dish in your refrigerator so it can set. Now, you can take a few minutes to wrap a present or find your favorite holiday music.
This is where the fun begins! You can really get creative here and make any picture you want with your fruit. Here, we’re making a ball shaped ornament but feel free to pick your own.
Place the strawberries in a circle in the middle of the pie and fill it in. Create a top to the ball with the kiwi slices.
With the can of whip cream, spray dollops along the edge of the crust. Try a test puff before carrying over to the actual pie to avoid a mess.
Finally, get the colored sprinkles out and shake across the entire pie, including the edges of Reddi Wip!
Whether you need a cool dessert that’s easy to make in your RV or a fun, sweet dish to share at a party, you’ve got an idea that can be put together even in a pinch! Did you try Patriotic Pie?
